About

He is an alumnus of the London Film School and has shot both narrative and commercial projects across Europe and India. Alongside this, he continues to work as a gaffer on select productions across Europe and the Middle East to stay closely connected to lighting on set.

He learned cinematography through celluloid film, starting with 8mm and 16mm, moving on to 35mm, and later working across digital formats including large-format systems. This background has shaped a disciplined approach to lighting, exposure, and preparation, with a strong belief that good work is built before stepping on set.

Swarnim enjoys working under pressure and is particularly drawn to commercial shoots where time, clarity, and decision-making matter. His narrative work focuses on emotionally driven stories and moral tension, and his process is collaborative, practical, and detail-led.

Most of his recent films are currently on the festival circuit and cannot yet be shared publicly. Outside of work, he enjoys bouldering, basketball, and padel.
